1. Introduction & Definitions

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Triggerhive Games platform ("Platform") at games.triggerhive.com, operated by TriggerHive, a sole proprietorship of Gijs van Hout ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

  • "Platform" — The gaming website at games.triggerhive.com and all associated services

3. Use of the Platform

The Platform provides free-to-play browser-based games. By using the Platform, you agree to:

  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
  • Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform
  • Not interfere with other users' enjoyment of the games
  • Not exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage
  • Not engage in harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward other users
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform

4. Accounts

Account creation is optional. You may play games as a guest. If you choose to create an account:

  • You must provide accurate information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

Guest gameplay data (statistics) is stored locally in your browser and is not synced across devices.

5. Intellectual Property

All games, graphics, code, text, logos, and other content on the Platform are the property of TriggerHive or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content
  • You may not use the TriggerHive name, logo, or branding without written permission
  • Some games may use open-source libraries, which retain their respective licenses

6. Advertising

The Platform is free-to-play and supported by advertisements via Google AdSense. Personalized ads are only shown with your explicit consent (see our Privacy Policy). You agree to:

  • Not use ad-blocking software that interferes with the Platform's ad delivery (though we respect your choice to decline personalized ads)
  • Not click on ads fraudulently or repeatedly
  • Not interfere with ad display mechanisms

7. Availability & Uptime

We strive to keep the Platform available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance and updates
  • Technical issues or server outages
  • Factors beyond our control (e.g., internet connectivity, DDoS attacks)

We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by Platform downtime.

8. Multiplayer & Online Conduct

Some games on the Platform offer multiplayer functionality. When participating in multiplayer games, you agree to:

  • Play fairly and sportingly
  • Not use cheats, hacks, or exploits
  • Not intentionally disrupt other players' gameplay
  • Respect other players regardless of skill level

We reserve the right to ban or restrict users who violate these rules without prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid to us (which is zero for free-to-play users)
  • We are not liable for data loss, including loss of game progress or statistics
  • We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites linked from the Platform

This limitation does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Dutch or EU law.

10. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., Google AdSense, external game links). We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. If you have an account, you may request deletion by contacting us at info@triggerhive.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the changes, please stop using the Platform.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court of Oost-Brabant, Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you may also choose the court of your place of residence.
